Here are my
views:-
Although
India is democratic country and the citizens have freedom of speech. Really is
it so? Whenever anyone gives opinion then also the so-called 'Nationalists'
talks about sending them to other country. No one is free as such.
Culture is a
way of living of PEOPLE of a particular area or country. Here i said PEOPLE not
a particular person. So, Culture involves all kind of people; Male, Female or
LGBT. As we studied in Structuralism, everyone has same structure from inside.
It is the society who gives different meaning. LBGT is as natural as any other
gender. Many times if we see any mentally-retarded child we feel he is not
normal. we never think that even we might be abnormal for them. So if we say
LGBT is not normal then we should re-think.
In many
films like Kal ho na ho, Dostana, Kapoor and Sons...etc. People reacts with
such a melodrama at the knowledge that his son or daughter belongs to LGBT.
Thanks to
Sir and thanks to Cultural Studies that I can look at it with a different
angle.
