Review - "Rivers and Tides" A documentry on Andy Goldsworthy

Hey all, On 22/8/2016, I got chance to attend an interesting movie screening of a documentary “Rivers and Tides” at #DepartmentofEnglish #MKBU. “Rivers and Tides” is a 2001 documentary film directed by Thomas Riedelsheimer about the British artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates sculptures from natural materials such as rocks, leaves etc. The director follows Goldsworthy in his journey of art and questions about his inspirations, frustrations and goals. It was released again in 2003 with addition of melodious Background Music. (Wikipedia) If you are an entertainment lover……Don’t Watch It!!!! It is an utterly wonderful film with beautiful representation of Art in Nature and a deep philosophy of life. Brief Overview of Books - July 2016

Hey all, During the recent visit to the Central Library, MKBU… I issued two interesting books. 1.)   Buddhism: A Very Short Introduction – Damien Keown This is a wonderful book on the introduction of Buddhism. It gives us a glimpse of the teachings of Buddha and the integration of Buddhism in daily life. It also deals with how Buddhism is different than other religion. This book gives us as much possible information in all the chapters like on the Buddha rebirth, Buddhism in Asia…etc. but if you are craving for more deep knowledge then read other works on Buddhism. This is a very short introduction so you can’t find much in this. After learning the theory of post colonialism, this book can be questioned. Hey everyone, While studying postcolonial literature, we saw an another interesting film on 4 th August,2016 at the Department of English, M.K.Bhavnagar University. Hello friends, As a part of academics, I got a chance to attend movie screening of the film adaptation of “ Midnight’s Children ” at the Department of English, MKBU.
